I trained at the University of Westminster (Harrow), graduating in 1997. I am a Professional Member of the Craft Potters Association, and divide my time between making work at my studio in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, and teaching in adult education.

I make vapour glazed pots, particularly teapots and pourers of various kinds, which are intended to be both visually interesting and pleasurable to handle and use. My original training was as an aeronautical engineer and this forms a strong influence on the work, both in my methods of making the pots and in the sense of physical and visual balance that I aim to achieve in their design. I throw the bodies and lids on the wheel and slipcast the handles and spouts. The pieces are then assembled from these 'components', sprayed with glazes and stains and fired in a salt/soda kiln in an oxidising atmosphere to 1280C.
