When someone buys one of my pots, they are also acquiring a painting. It’s a continual process of exploration and discovery, which is why I don’t make large numbers with a similar design. Each piece is hand painted, so is individual in its own right. In this recent phase I am focusing on the human form. Some of the larger pieces are accompanied by poetry describing the passions, lusts, furies and joys inspired by human love.

Painters who have been influential are Pablo Picasso, Ivon Hitchens, Patrick Heron, Matisse and Roger Hilton.
