I am self-taught and have potted as a pastime from an early age. Since taking early retirement from teaching several years ago this has become my main occupation. I enjoy making very large stoneware storage vessels, chargers, bowls and pitchers, usually decorated with tenmoku, chun and copper red glazes. I also produce a range of oven to tableware. All pieces are thrown, individual and reduction fired to cone 10 in a 35 cubic feet gas kiln of my own design.
