I first tried pottery on a field trip to a local pottery in Turkey. It’s only 10
years later in London that I have decided to start an evening course in
Kensington and Chelsea College. Since then I have managed to take time off from
my full time job and spend more time on practicing pottery in Kingsgate Studios
in London.
My inspiration comes from my mixed family background and my travels. I like to
experiment with the matt glazes to create an antique look as well as leaving my
creations plain with no glaze to catch the essentials of the terracotta clay. In
a recent holiday to China I became fascinated with teapots and I have been
experimenting on creating tea sets.
