I produce large, one-off, sculptured ceramics, entirely built with hand-rolled coils of clay - not thrown, assembled or altered. They make a statement for garden, courtyard and conservatory, as well as home interiors.

The pots are not functional but are related to traditional vessel forms. Inspiration comes from the natural world; nutshells, berries on stalks, the curves of landscape, the human form.

I have a degree in Fine Art from Reading University and specialised in sculpture. This training means I concentrate on form and texture. The textures are achieved by the building process and by the type of clay. I use several clay bodies, their different colours and textures provide variety, stimulus and challenge - every pot must be an adventure.
