Anna Bingham makes ceramics to contain space. The works relate to temporary structures and places where the environment is in flux.
Using stoneware, porcelain, slips and metal oxides, the forms are altered extensively as they are built; her background in sculpture and metalworking informs the construction process. Anna’s sculptures are characterized by their monumentality and subtle painterly surfaces.
