I have recently started making pots again after more than 20 years hiatus. Previously I had a studio in the US and sold my work in various craft galleries and craft fairs. Now I pursue the craft for the pleasure of making beautiful and useful objects.
I work now mostly with stoneware, fired in an oxidation kiln. This limits somewhat my ability to have interesting glaze effects I admire so much in the oriental ceramics that is my main inspiration. I do try to compensate for this by playing around with form and texture and other surface decoration techniques. My work, with few exceptions, is mostly functional.
