My work is large thrown pieces, nearly always individual. The challenge of throwing large and or difficult forms drives me. I do decorate, usually in incised slip, but the process of the making is my love. I have travelled widely in the Far East and have a foot firmly cemented in Anglo/Sino ceramics working in both oxidation and reduction. I sold my first work in 1967; it was a thrown earthenware bowl I have been hooked ever since.
