Functional wheel-thrown stoneware. My goal is to create simple forms with innate aesthetic attraction. I incorporate fine details such as texture, colour, handles and my own unique glazes. I tend to use thrown spirals or textures created in the clay for decoration, and my glazing emphasizes these textures. I also use engobes that are actually inlaid into them.
I produce a wide range of oven-to-table wares, as well as individual commissions. When time permits, I enjoy working on larger vessels. I strive to create pottery that is timeless, practical and well balanced.
