I create functional and decorative ceramic pieces. I use both red and white clays in my studio, but I really enjoy working with red clay more as it reminds me of my childhood days in my parents’ workshops.
Being the son of potters I spent a lot of time in my parents’ workshops which were on the Caribbean island of Barbados; but it wasn’t until late 2014 my own ceramic journey begun. After many years of not working with clay I began slab-building at home as a form of physiotherapy for my injured arm at the time. Soon after I bought a potter’s wheel and since then I have been working towards mastering the craft and I’m now trading under the name Motions of Clay.
