London Potters AGM 2025 – A Day of Reflection and Renewal

Earlier this month, London Potters held its Annual General Meeting at the Museum of the Home in London, a fitting venue for a gathering that celebrated both tradition and transformation within our community.

Members came together to reflect on the past year, vote in the election of Trustees, and bid a heartfelt farewell to our outgoing Chair, Lindy Barletta after eight years in the Trust and four as a Chair. Her dedication and leadership have left a lasting mark, and we thank her deeply for her service. Stepping into the role are our newly nominated Co-Chairs, Helen Ridgway and Janet White, whose combined experience, from exhibition and event coordinations, and energy promise an exciting chapter ahead.

We were also delighted to welcome two special guests: 🎤 Chris Keenan, who delivered a thoughtful keynote talk that explored the intersections of form, function, and personal practice.

🎨 Dylan Bowen, who captivated attendees with a live demonstration of his dynamic ceramic techniques—an inspiring glimpse into his expressive approach to clay.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of our Annual Maker Awards, celebrating outstanding contributions to ceramic practice. This year’s recipients were Olga Siruk and Ömer Öner, whose work continues to inspire and elevate our community.

The AGM was not only a moment of governance but also a celebration of community, creativity, and shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day so memorable.
