London Potters council trustees are thrilled to announce the appointment of KATE MALONE MBE as our first Honorary Ambassador.
The role has been created to be awarded to a renowned potter or ceramicist who, working in or with links to London, has developed their own specialist field or is recognised nationally or internationally for their outstanding work.
Kate and London Potters will be working together: Kate will support and encourage the work we do in such ways that she can, bringing attention to London Potters and our aims and objectives. We will support Kate’s own charitable cause FiredUp4, putting clay in the hands of children, along with other ceramic related initiatives that she feels need our attention.
Earlier this month Lindy Barletta went to meet Kate at her Studio and house in Kent and chatted about all things ceramic – you can read about this in the April/May edition of the LP Magazine.
We also have some events involving Kate planned throughout the coming year, so keep an eye out here; on your social media and in the email newsletters for the latest news and messages.
In Kate’s words: HOORAY FOR CLAY!

Explore FiredUp4 which celebrates the work of the UK’s leading ceramicists in an innovative fundraising campaign to allow thousands of young people to enjoy the benefits of pottery, by providing pottery studios, equipment and training to OnSide Youth Zones.
