Path and Inspiration
I trained at Goldsmiths College and was fortunate to have access to large kilns and I liked building big sculptural pieces. In the real world, I have to work much smaller but often see things in multiples. I work in a variety of 3D materials and am also a painter. I taught art for many years in London schools and just love the creative process. My sculptural work and paintings generally have a dialogue and are loosely based around an abstraction of the female form.Process and Practice
I generally use sculptural stoneware clays but enjoy experimenting with a range of materials and approaches. My kiln is at home, so most of the 3D work is produced there although I have a studio in Wimbledon Art Studios where I paint.
