Path and Inspiration There are many sources of inspiration:
- the colour and style of Islamic and particularly Turkish ceramics, but also Japanese tea-bowls.
- contemporary art and design
- nature: flowers, trees, the sea ......
- I like to draw and to explore the link between the drawn line and mark-making on pots
Process and Practice My pots are hand-thrown, made with porcelain clay, and decorated with slip, oxides and underglaze colours.
I like to make sets, but with variations in form and decoration.
Bowls are my favourite form, but I also like the process of joining sections, whether for a tea-pot or a tall vase.
