Path and Inspiration
Anna is a student at Morley College, embarking on the Ceramics HND course from September 2024. This is a new direction for her after over 30 years in a public service career, during which ceramics was an essential outlet for creativity in evening classes. Anna is inspired by the inherent qualities of clay as it changes from its entirely malleable, fluid state to the solid, enduring fired ceramic piece. She looks to capture that moment of mobility.Process and Practice
Anna primarily creates thrown and altered pieces, using stoneware clays. However, as a student on the Morley College HND course she is exploring a wider range of possible options for clay.
