Path and Inspiration
As I travel I get excited by the uniqueness of the landscape, this I then try and capture in my art. Each new piece inspires the next as new forms and patterns take shape from nature. I see each of my 3D creations as a landscape, I carve into clay as if the elements have left their mark. I am fascinated by patterns and shapes within natural world from the ripples in water to the spirals in shells.Process and Practice
My sculptures are all hand built by coiling the basic shape and then carving to refine produce the final form. The glazes are crystalline based and the colours are produced by metal oxides to give the more natural look.
