Path and Inspiration
I started learning to throw at various potteries in East London in 2015. With a background in textiles and illustration clay was a new and exciting medium to explore and it's remained so! Also a practising psychotherapist I enjoy exploring unconscious processes through my ceramic work and have been delighted by the endless permutations and possibilities of clay.Process and Practice
I take an experimental approach to making, and enjoy responding to different clay bodies in an intuitive way. I use the clay to explore and respond to form, texture and feeling often returning to various thematic streams. I make small 'hand sized' sculptural forms, some more functional than others, often not quite one thing or the other. I like the finished peices to look off kilter and as though changed by time which of course they have been.
