Path and Inspiration
Brooke has a background designing hospitality interiors and furniture. Her love of materials and craftsmanship led her to clay, where she fell in love with the process. She has had the opportunity to explore and learn from many teachers and artists through her travels across three continents, honing her process and discovering her voice along the way. She enjoys creating sculptural vessels for interior spaces.Process and Practice
Brooke creates sculptural vessels and vases using slab and coil techniques, hand-finishing the natural rough clay to an elegant finish. While her building technique is a result of the joy she finds in maneuvering and refining the clay, the forms and aesthetics of her pieces can be attributed to her design background. All of her pieces are created with a lived environment in mind, with emphasis on both a tactile and visual aesthetic.
