Path and Inspiration
Working with different Stoneware Clays to create textural forms, with my main focus being Silver Birch trees. I find inspiration walking in the Devon and Cornish landscape and have an endless fascination with natural forms, light and contours.Process and Practice
I forage for Wild Clay and Minerals adding them to my work which helps to produce tactile textures. Adopting different mark making techniques to each piece it gives them a totally unique finish. Bisque fired to 980oC, they are then enhanced with oxides and glazes before a final firing up to 1245oC. I also make a small range of domestic ware on the wheel.
