Path and Inspiration
Classically trained at Camberwell Collage my current practice is inspired by a small Chinese bottle gifted to me as a child. Each piece I make assumes its own identity with the application of transferred decoration. Collected imagery and text tell stories from lives past and present. Themes centre around the human condition from the significant to trivial. Through tearing and cutting the storytelling becomes abstracted. Visible fragments hint at the narrative and create new meanings.Process and Practice
I work both on the wheel and slip casting. Decoration is hand screen printed.I have been based at Wimbledon Art Studios since 2019
