Path and Inspiration
I first started working in clay whilst at school and this resulted in a lifelong love of pottery. After a gap of a number of years, I returned to the medium honing my skills through courses and self-development.Process and Practice
My work is primarily in decorative and sculptural forms, as well as a more limited number of functional pieces. I’m predominantly a hand builder but enjoy using different techniques and clays to create my work and do not like to restrict myself to any one form or style of making. I look to my surrounding to give me inspiration, whether it is to be able to bring the outside in with wall vases or capturing a moment in time with ceramic landscapes.
