Path and Inspiration
I've been potting for over 40 years with a few stops and starts in-between. I learnt through the adult education system in London in the mid 1980's and taught myself the rest. My inspiration is wide and varied as I am addicted to contemporary art and craft spanning many decades.Process and Practice
My favorite hand building technique is coiling but also enjoy combining different techniques such as slabbing and coiling. I enjoy challenging myself regarding new shapes and painting techniques and a strong sense of colour runs throughout all my work. I am inspired by antique and historical ceramics from the Georgian and Victorian period, folk art, Staffordshire figurines.
