Path and Inspiration
My sculptures demonstrate the boundaries to our freedom within society. Over the last few years, acclimatising to the ongoing turbulence in the world has fostered my own creative expression and inspiration from the natural world.Process and Practice
I make figurative sculptures of the female form, as I feel it allows for greater communication of both physical and emotional nuances. My work is influenced by the dynamics and elegance found in natural forms - the human form for me is most beautiful. Most of my work are made with earthenware clay using coiling technique then burnished, biscuit fired and smoke-fired in sawdust.
