Path and Inspiration
I am a designer and illustrator who also makes small batches of colourful ceramics in a variety of stoneware and porcelain. My background in design and illustration, and my love of Japanese art and design, has fuelled my love of colour and simple surface designs. I want to create simple, beautiful, functional things that people will love and use for years to come.Process and Practice
I make wheel thrown functional pieces in a variety of high fired stoneware, as well as slip cast and hand built character pieces. I am obsessed with how glazes work and the colours and surfaces that can be achieved with them, and how the tactile nature of the piece affects how you relate to it.
