Path and Inspiration
Transitioning to clay less than a year ago, I cherish its versatility and tactile nature. I am focusing on creating animal clay sculptures, capturing their essence and exploring spiritual symbolism and cultural significance. I have traced the cultural significance of these animals as lucky charm amulets across different cultures.
My sculptures carry a poignant message about the impact of humans on the planet. Animals depicted in my work embark on a symbolic journey away from human-inflicted harmProcess and Practice
I The choice of clay as my primary medium holds deep significance. It symbolizes our connection to the Earth and the cycle of creation and transformation. Like the Earth itself, clay is a canvas for stories and myths, constantly changing and renewing. As I mold it with my hands and subject it to the kiln’s fire, I mirror the eternal processes of birth, life, and death found in nature. I build sculptures from photography or hand drawn designs.
