Path and Inspiration
Art history, drawing and ceramics are lifelong passions. The storytelling, plates and vessels are illustrated using drawings from my sketchbooks. Themes include the refugees, the zoom meeting, faces, masks, musicians, children and objects drawn while visiting museums. The plates are for wall hanging, art installations.
I studied Art and Design, Fine Art, History of Art and have an MA in Art and Design Education.

Hand building with slabs. Many graphic methods used, combing Mishima, inlay techniques, with sgraffito and coloured washes, all under a transparent glaze, fired to 1220'c. The inlay technique is drawn, etched lines using a sharp tool then filled with underglaze. The storytelling drawings are about people and are personal observations.
I teach ceramics, drawing, painting, art and art history to adults, teens, children from my home studio in North London.
