Ex - Senior Management FE, Principal Examiner, Chairman of London Potters 12 years.
Teaching since 1970, originally qualified as a graphic designer, then commercial and industrial photography. All the while making pots. Teaching art/ceramics, then post grad advanced ceramics at Goldsmiths' college. A stint teaching in Shropshire followed by program leader art and craft Sutton College. I retired as deputy director of the college. Examining since 1976 retired as principal examiner Pearson.Process and Practice
I make large thrown reduction fired pots in my Kent studio, pitchers a speciality, some whimsical sculptures/other items on commission. Over 50 years teaching/lecturing experience I offer consultancy and tuition (especially throwing, building, glaze, firing etc. Fully equipped studio with glaze/kiln building. Lecturing to various groups, having travelled widely in the East often leading others, especially Yixing, Jingdezhen and Korea. Various exhibitions and demo's e.g. V&A x 3.
