Path and Inspiration
Being very curious and creative I enjoy striving to constantly learn new things ceramics allows me to push the clay and decoration to see how far it can go. Ceramics seems never ending, it is vast with so many variables. I love the mediative way of working with clay, I become absorbed, you can’t hurry it.Process and Practice
My work comes in two guises botanical functional ware and nature inspired sculptures. My botanical functional ware I use leaves and flowers I grow, recording all their texture and delicacy which captures them like timeless fossils held in suspension.
My sculptures comprise of many small hand-made components, creating intricate botanical and coral like sculptures the process can be fiddly yet contemplative and absorbing.
