Path and Inspiration
I discovered ceramics 6 years ago, whilst living in Barcelona where I began an apprenticeship with traditional earthenware potter Mario Leal. I never looked back and continued to study pottery in Granada and Tuscany before returning to my hometown of London.Process and Practice
I work mostly on the potter's wheel, throwing with a variety of stoneware clays, and decorating with wild clay slips and my own glazes, often using texture and mark-making to create tactile surfaces. Materials and firing processes are key as I try to find a balance between earthy strength and fragility in my pots.
