Path and Inspiration
I originally studied fine art at Winchester school of art. Back then, I was a printmaker with a distant appreciation of ceramics. It took me 18 years to finally decide to buy a wheel and set about teaching myself to throw. I started in February 2021 and I haven’t looked back. I went on to purchase an electric kiln, working from my home studio part-time. Inspiration for my pieces comes from everything around me. I’m still in an experimental stage, exploring forms, texture and glazes.Process and Practice
I typically throw the majority of my pieces using a buff stoneware clay. I have a call an electric kiln and use high fire glazes (cone 6).
