Path and Inspiration
After a career as a graphic designer and art director in publishing I decided to make my much loved side hustle into a full time job. Best decision ever as I'm now working in my garden studio teaching throwing and hand building and selling at local markets. I started pottery at a local art studio 15 years ago and it gradually became much more than a hobby. I rented a space in a studio for a few years until deciding to build my own studio at home and take the plunge.Process and Practice
My work is all stoneware and mainly functional. All thrown on the wheel and glazed in a variety of combinations using a selected palate of much tested glazes. Teaching on the wheel has become a large part of my week and I particularly love seeing the joy creating a piece of pottery brings to people.
