My work is all hand thrown. The designs, colours and textures are inspired by nature’s hidden details and intricate designs. Each piece is individually hand painted and glazed.Process and Practice
These functional and decorative, earthenware pieces are thrown on the potters wheel and decorated using slips and coloured stains under a transparent glaze.My thrown Stoneware bowls and vases are made from Super White clay, textured with wood bark and glazed in a, "white tin", and a, "dry rust" glaze.When I'm not busy making in my studio, I teach throwing and basic hand-building skills at Artshed Arts in Ware, Hertfordshire. https://www.artshedarts.co.uk
