Path and Inspiration
I was born and raised in East London and loved making mud pots in the garden. After being a part-time potter for over 30 years I decided to go full-time in 2019 and set up Oast House Ceramics from my Oast house in East Kent. I am inspired by the kent coast and big kent skies.Process and Practice
All my firings are solar-powered whenever possible. I use a combination of hand-building and throwing, earthenware and stoneware glazes and often wood ash.
