Path and Inspiration
The inspiration for my work comes from looking at local landscapes and the patterns, textures and colours that I find,I use textures made by nature or man in the surfaces of my pots. The paint with underglazes and slip over the top to enhance the surface textures.Process and Practice
Most of my work is hand built out of slabs of clay using found objects to texture the surface of the clay.I've recently started to combine throwing techniques with hand building to make my bottle forms and I'm looking to develop this through out my range of work.
