Path and Inspiration
After a few years of after work classes, I had an opportunity to learn about reduction firing and making glazes in 2015. Since then, I've set up my own studio in Brighton, using variable and experimental glazes in an electric kiln, and working with gas and soda firings when possible. I love to combine the shapes of traditional, light teacups with dark clay and colourful glaze.Process and Practice
I throw my work on the wheel in my Brighton studio, working with dark and light stoneware to get the most of the varied effects of the glazes I make - such as floating blues, chrome pink fuming and microcrystalline speckle glazes.
