Path and Inspiration
I trained in ceramics at Central St Martins, following a career that spanned TV production and PR. The course opened my eyes the breadth of possibilities clay offers. Since graduating in 2019, I have taken part in group shows and also had a solo exhibition at the museum of Charles Darwin's family home. In 2022, I co-curated On Air, an exhibition hosted by Ceramic Art London, making visible the invisible problem of air pollution using ceramics.Process and Practice
I am a multi-disciplinary artist working in clay, a provocateur using this benign material to elicit emotional reactions. My practice is a celebration of the materiality of clay and its diverse states of being. I bring clay to life, through kinetic sculpture, emotional portraiture, haptic abstract forms & combining clay stop-motion with fired ceramics. Sculpting, I often keep the raw clay malleable, constantly evolving my forms, capturing each iteration photographically with animation software.
