Path and Inspiration
Having graduated from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, I am now the Ceramics Artist in Residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire. I teach a range of classes, and also teach adults throwing workshops. My work is inspired by time spent at the coats, and I aim to capture some of the movement and energy in my work.Process and Practice
I create abstract sculptures in porcelain paperclay using varying mixtures of pure white combined with coloured clay which I have created using various oxides and stains. My work starts life on a potter's wheel and is then then abstracted while damp which lets me capture the feeling of movement and portray the energy and action at the coast.
