Path and Inspiration
My clay journey started at school, where I became enthralled with clay, I went on to art college, and went into homeware buying when I left.I started again when I moved to Surrey, at an adult education site, and set up ceramics my studio in 2022/3. I hope to one day offer classes for people to enjoy the flow clay allows and for them to create their own special piece for their home.Process and Practice
My ceramics are designed to be functional, creative and to bring joy- to enhance everyday living.Each piece is carefully considered and hand crafted taking inspiration from nature with a modern vintage feel.I work with stoneware clay as it is fired to a high temperature and I make all my own glazes to ensure each piece is unique.I hope my work evokes a special memory and helps slow down the pace of life.
