Path and Inspiration
My work is a reflection of resilience and craftsmanship, sparked by the simple act of breaking a bowl and deepened by my journey with cPTSD. As a teacher and craftsman specializing in one-of-a-kind repaired ceramics and bespoke jewelry, I use broken pieces to create art that embodies healing and transformation. Each meticulously repaired piece tells a story of empathy and kindness. Through my art, I aim to foster connection and encourage others to find beauty in imperfection.Process and Practice
My practice involves traditional and non-traditional Kintsugi, using precious metals to revive broken pottery while preserving its history. I blend classic techniques with modern innovation to create visually striking pieces. I take non-traditional commissions year-round, offer traditional Kintsugi in the summer, and curate a line of repaired works for sale or gallery display. I also teach courses, using salvaged ceramics from local London studios for all repairs.
