Path and Inspiration
I made ceramic objects primarily out of a desire to flesh out the abstract, to give a visual and physical presence to intangible concepts.
I consider my main sources of inspiration to be traditional pottery and still-life painting and find such compositions particularly compelling due to the quiet contemplation they suggest.Process and Practice
My work, mostly slip cast or hand built from slabs, could be described as minimal, contemporary and at times surprising. It is executed mostly in porcelain, often unglazed, but honed and waxed with occasional and striking use of colour.
