North West

Path and Inspiration

Following a 5 year fine art and critical studies Ba Hons degree at Central St Martins I worked on several site specific projects. Currently I have a studio based practice in North West London. The Natural world our environment and the issues we face form the inspiration and motivation for my work. Paintings collage and ceramics represent an emotional response swinging between celebratory joy, humour and the vulnerable uncertainty of our lives.

Process and Practice

My practice is multidisciplinary, drawing painting clay are all part of the journey. One media informs the other and moves ideas along as stepping stones. Working with clay using the intelligence of my hands is refreshing. The unpredictability of ceramics process is a chance to celebrate the unexpected and use "mistakes" to reveal something unconsidered and new .... Rules are flouted the boundaries are mine.
