Path and Inspiration
I\\\\\\\'m originally from Philadelphia, PA (USA). I was fascinated with ceramic arts since attending camp as a child and diving in as a teen. I studied product design and worked professionally in design research before reconnecting with ceramics after the pandemic. After a decade in UX, I transitioned to practicing ceramics full-time. I mainly work on the wheel and enjoy playing with undulation, handles, and chains, and aim to create interesting forms that convey both playfulness and elegance.
Process and Practice
My process usually begins on the wheel and relies on play and a wide array of inspiration, especially from ancient cultures. My focus is on creating interesting and efficient forms, decoration is secondary and primarily focuses on color and texture rather than imagery.
