Path and Inspiration
I went to a beginner’s evening pottery class in 2017 and was drawn to the kick wheel that was in the class and managed to buy one for my very small garden shed at home which I did a lot of practising and only in the past five years have I had my own studio with two electric wheels and a kiln and in this time I have really progressed throwing larger pieces and teapots, which I sell @makersbarn_petworthProcess and Practice
I’m a part-time potter making in the afternoons and weekends mainly stoneware and some porcelain in my small studio creating mugs, bowls, platers, oil bottles and vases on the wheel. I do slab work but mainly thrown pieces. I do a bit of teaching in the studio, but I really like to concentrate on my own work and progressing with creating new ideas and work.
