Path and Inspiration
Originally from South Korea, I spent most of my adult life in Los Angeles, working in the film industry as an animator and a visual effects artist. I discovered ceramic art some years ago and fell in love with it so much that I ended up joining the ceramic art courses at Glendale college in L.A., where I completed a program. I had to relocate to London a few years ago, now I’m working at a communal studio called “Studio Pottery London”Process and Practice
My work used to range from simple kitchenware to elaborately colored raku pieces utilizing my own kiln, but due to more limited space living in London, I have been concentrating on each piece with more attention to uniquely decorated surfaces using my own artwork that sometimes includes sculptural components.
