Path and Inspiration
After attending art college in the Sixties I had a career for 35 years as an art director working in various top London advertising agencies. On retiring I sent six years working part-time as a school art technician which re-kindled my interest in ceramics.Process and Practice
I work from my studio in Kingston upon Thames using both wheel and handbuilding techniques.
I am particularly fascinated by the technique of raku. There is an elemental aspect to this with the effect only revealed at the final stage. There is therefore a degree of surprise, each piece is unique both in form and finish.
