Path and Inspiration
My journey began with photography, exploring the intersection of memory, identity, and nature’s quiet narratives. Drawn to clay for its earth-bound tactility, I now translate those layered stories into sculptural forms and functional pieces. Inspired by the textures of landscapes, weathered surfaces, and human connection, I view pottery as a dialogue between the hand, the earth, and memory, grounding fleeting emotions in something tangible and lasting.
Process and Practice
My ceramic practice is rooted in an ongoing exploration of material, memory and the tactile connection between hand, earth and story. I mainly work with earthenware clay for its warmth, responsiveness and the way it holds traces of the maker’s touch. The softness of the body allows me to throw intuitively on the wheel, following the natural rhythm of the spinning clay and letting each form reveal itself rather than forcing it into strict symmetry.
