Path and Inspiration
I come from the industry of film, animation, and TV. I worked as a pre-production artist in animated cartoons and then as a compositor for visual effecfs. After becoming a mother, I discovered ceramics, and it is now what I love and can manage to fit into my busy mum schedule. I feel inspired by transluscent objects, by organic forms, by other potters, especially those who throw and alter.Process and Practice
I throw simple shapes and combine them to make larger composed pots. I enjoy discovering how to master doing this in porcelain, which I then carve and fire unglazed on the outside. I love the look of unglazed porcelain, and find the process of carving tremendously soothing!
