Path and Inspiration
I began making pottery more than 45 years ago. Originally self taught I was fortunate enough to be mentored by the late Sid Tustin of Winchcombe Pottery for several years.
Before becoming a potter I was a dancer with Ballet Rambert for 11 years, that period of my life has always been a source of inspiration for many of the designs of my pots along with my love of flora and fauna.Process and Practice
I work from my two garden studios in Beckenham, Kent. The majority of my work is hand thrown using white stoneware clay. I enjoy altering my work in various ways including incising, mark making, and cutting and twisting. I decorate my pottery with a mixture of commercial and handmade glazes. I sell my work at craft fairs and online.
