Path and Inspiration
The use of clay has fascinated me since a very young age, I started using Playdo and air drying clay, and moved onto claying sculpture by age of 16. After that, for a reason or another, I stopped but started again about 3 years ago and this time went a step further and made it my primary source of income.
Reckless??? Maybe but I fell involve with clay allover again. All my pieces are hand built, although now I am experimenting with slip casting.
Good luck to me!!Process and Practice
I couldn't pin point what inspire me, one day is nature, onother day is a dream, another is a cloud or even a feeling.
The creation of the piece it comes naturally and once I have clay in my hands "I let go" and organically I create a piece, sometime I don't even plan what type of object to build.
My favourite part is glazing, I have a background in chemistry so I love mixing and overlaying glaze, the results are often unpredictable and the pieces are completely unique.
