Path and Inspiration
Having graduated from Goldsmiths in the 70's I taught ceramic art in both schools and colleges. During this time I worked in the classroom and later in an advisory capacity in England and Canada. Having taken early retirement from my position as Vice Principle I'm now a leaseholder for a gallery on the South Bank and also spend most of my time focusing on my own practice developing work for the gallery and various exhibitions both here and abroad.Process and Practice
My work tends to be based around the human form but is often altered and abstracted. I use stoneware and porcelain clay generally and experiment with a variety of glazes and finishes. I fire in an electric kiln and but also enjoy the adventure of bin firing.
